But another thing that affects uptime – and therefore the overall economy of your business – is your proximity to servicing facilities and service quality. ## HOW FAR SHOULD THE NEAREST WORKSHOP BE? Your vehicle requires regular servicing, and surely some repairs too from time to time. So how far do you want to have to travel to have your vehicle serviced and repaired? There are naturally different answers to this depending on your circumstances. If your company is in a smaller town, you often have to travel a bit farther, whereas the distances between workshops in big cities are shorter. > **IS THE RIGHT EXPERTISE AVAILABLE WHEN YOU NEED IT?** The distance and time it takes you to get to your workshop in order to minimize costs and downtime are important factors, but so too is the expertise you receive. Leading truck component brands that have been on the market a long time are often well-known by the mechanics who will perform servicing and repairs. These spare parts are also easily available, and many workshops even keep them in stock.   ## CLOSE AND GOOD SERVICING PROVIDES BENEFITS Having servicing options nearby is a prerequisite for being able to quickly get out on the road again. This can be even faster if servicing staff have the right expertise and can quickly and easily get hold of the right parts. And if they use high-quality components, there will be a longer time between services and repairs.
