## A reliable partner with long-standing experience

In an industry where knowledge, sustainability, and rapid response are essential, Tank & Miljö AB in Vänersborg has established itself as a trusted player with deep experience and a constant focus on the future.

The company’s roots trace back to 1980s Vänersborg, where Reidar Eriksson first started the sludge suction operations. When Magnus Eriksson took over and founded Vänersborgs Tank & Miljö AB in 2000, a new chapter began. Today, the fleet includes 15 modern environmental vehicles, and in collaboration with Centralen's resources, the company can deploy a total of 22 environmentally optimized vehicles and trailers – ready to handle everything from urgent sewer blockages to hazardous waste and pipe flushing

## Wide range of services for municipalities, businesses, and private customers

Tank & Miljö offers a comprehensive range of services with high capacity and advanced technology. Their services include not only flushing and sludge suction but also:

- Cold and hot water flushing
- Suction of dry materials such as ash, sawdust, grain, etc.
- Emptying of oil and grease separators
- Transport of hazardous waste
- Certified inspection of oil tanks and oil separators
- Pipe inspection and documentation
- Filling water in pools and dried-up wells

Reusing flushing water directly from the pipe network instead of municipal drinking water is another example of Tank & Miljö’s resource-efficient and environmentally smart approach.

## Field testing VBG's new underrun protection – a successful partnership  

When VBG looks for partners to conduct practical field trials, they seek companies eager to test new products, provide feedback on what works well and what doesn’t, and naturally use the system extensively to ensure effective evaluation. Tank & Miljö was the perfect choice for testing the new extendable underrun protection – not only because they are neighbors in the Vänersborg industrial area but also because their working environment demands high functionality and usability.

“For us working with tankers, having to extend and retract the underrun protection multiple times a day, the new system is clearly an improvement – simpler and smoother.”

With automatic locking in both the extended and retracted positions, an improved handle, and a space-saving design, the system has performed exactly as the business requires. After the field test, the decision is clear: Tank & Miljö will continue investing in the new underrun protection from VBG as vehicles are replaced.

Drivers Rikard Larsson and Erik Löf at Vänersborgs Tank & Miljö AB agree that the new system performs better. Having also used the previous underrun protection, they appreciate the improvements:
